Yosemite trip with the in-law family

We went to Yosemite with Josh's family(minus Steph and Jordan :( ) for a week. It was really fun! We met them in Carson City and we were so excited to see them. It is a big adjustment for us not seeing them every couple weeks to 3 months. At first Averie Jo was looking at everybody and trying to figure out who they are. She cried for a second but soon after that, she was just fine. She was grandma's girl the whole trip. I know Grandma Richardson was loving it!  (Beware-there are a lot of pictures!)

The next day we went to Virginia City and check out the town. It is a old style and mining town.

                                                                           I love Steve's face!
Averie Jo is official walking. She didn't want to hold my hands while we were walking up and down the town.  She was having a blast walking!

Please mom! I got it! Don't hold my hand!
Fine...I will hold your hand for a minute. Just for one minute!
We went to a little museum about the house and town.

After we visit Virginia City, we drove to South Tahoe and rode the Heavenly Gondola.

The next day we went on a cruise on Lake Tahoe, it was very pretty.

Grandma put Averie Jo down for a nap. She was tired for not having a nap.

After the cruise, we drove to Yosemite and it was the worst drive ever! It took us about 5 hours to get there. The road was VERY windy and slow. Averie Jo was crying for the last 50 miles. There was nothing I could do to make her happy. I tried to play with her toys, read a book, clap and sing...nothing was working for her! She wanted to get out of the car seat at THAT moment. We had about 10-15 miles left and.......she puked up EVERYWHERE.  It was so gross! I am just glad I didn't puke trying to clean it up. The smell was nasty. Averie was trying to touch/pick up her puke while I was cleaning up. I used so many wipes. I told Josh to step on the pedal and get to the hotel fast!
We got to the hotel and there was a problem with the rooms. The person who took the reservation didn't complete it so therefore there was no rooms reserved for us. It took some time but luckily, there was a room and a suite available. As soon we got to our room, I gave Averie a bath and grab us some dinner while Josh clean the car and car seat. It took us a while to clean it up.

The next day, we found out the next activity was 4 hours tour with very little break. We knew that Averie wasn't going to "sit" through the tour without a fit. We decided to opt out the tour and went for a hike while the rest of the family went on the tour.

Averie didn't want to sit in the stroller. She wanted to push it and was loving it! Everybody who we passed thought she was so cute pushing the stroller and can't believe a 10 months old is already walking! Even a French lady took her picture!

Daddy let her play with the dirt.

She loves it and tried to eat it!

It was very nice and relaxing day.
The next day we went on a Big Tree Tram Tour.

Averie Jo had a little cat nap on daddy.

It was really cool to see all the big trees!
The next day we went to a different town and hotel, the girls went shopping while the boys went to the little museum. We just hung out at the hotel and chat. We had to end the trip a day earlier because Josh had to work the day after.
Averie Jo did very well on the trip considering hardly no naps at all. She was a happy girl on the trip. It was nice to see everybody and I told Steph the next time we go another trip-she has to call in sick to make sure she goes with us!

We will be coming to Utah in August! We can't wait to see everybody! 3 weeks and six days left!
