Miss Averie Jo can now climb up to the counter with no problem and no fear! I have to keep an extra eyes on her when she is in the kitchen. I always have to tell her no, no, no! Get down! Now! So she will put her feet back on the ground for two seconds and back up on the chair! Jeez! She is totally testing me!
Miss Averie Jo can climb into her high chair but I have to hurry and take off her table/lid off or she is going to try to climb in with the table/lid on.
Last week, Averie Jo and I went grocery shopping. Averie LOVES(not!) go shopping with mommy. We finally got home and I put Averie inside so I can bring in the grocery bags in. I grab a couple bags and started walking in but the door is locked.... Miss Averie Jo locked me out. She is tall for her age and can turn the lock knob. I didn't even have my phone or keys on me. Miss Averie Jo was peeking out of the window and banging on it. I tried to encourage her to unlock the door but all she did is turn, turn and turn the door handle. So I went to my next door neighbor who I only met one of them few months ago. There are a couple college boys living there. I knocked on the door and said Hi! Can I borrow your cell to call my husband because my daughter locked me out? But can you also look up his work number cuz I have no idea what it is. They were nice to me and said sure of course! Come on in. They asked me how old is my little girl. I said 18 months, you should have see their face! They were expecting older and not 18 months. I called Josh and he laughed! He said he will be home soon. He told his work that he got to go. Luckily it was getting close to the end of the day at work. I played peek a boo with Averie in the window and she ran around. 10-15 minutes later, Josh got home and finally let me in the house. The next day, I texted my landlord for a spare key so it doesn't happen again. Miss Averie Jo is getting too smart for me!
Miss Averie Jo's new thing is turning the light switch on and off. When we enter her room, she want to be the one to turn it on and off. Not mommy or daddy!
Miss Averie Jo loves to dip her food in anything. When we have meals together and there is dips involved, you betcha she will demand it and won't eat anything until you give her dips.
Miss Averie Jo prefer to pound her hand instead of high five. If you ask her can you give me a high five with your hand up, she will grab hand, bend your fingers down and pound it.
Pound it!

P.S. We are now halfway through our adventure in Klamath Falls! It has gone by so fast! Josh moved up here the beginning of March and I came up the end of March. I remember a year ago like it was yesterday. I just quit my job-became a stay home mom, selling the house ASAP, packing up and Miss Averie Jo just started crawling. We love living in Klamath Falls once we got over the cultural shock. We are thankful for the people here, they are so kind and welcoming. I will miss them when we go on to our next adventure!
You've got your hands full!
ReplyDeleteYes, I do! But I wouldn't have it any other way!
